The prospective caregiver agrees:
w To keep the cat indoors, in a private residence, as a companion animal. If your cat enjoys the outdoors, please take it outside on a leash, or let it spend supervised time in a protected, enclosed area.
w To provide the cat with sufficient quantities of nutritious food and fresh water each day.
w To never strike or otherwise harm the cat.
w To never have the cat declawed unless all other options are exhausted.
w To ensure that the cat’s vaccinations are current, and to provide prompt veterinary care upon sickness, disease or injury.
w To have the cat microchipped and to keep microchip database records current and accurate.
w To give Wee Paws Animal Sanctuary visitation rights (if requested) to ensure that the terms of this adoption agreement are being observed.
The prospective caregiver also agrees to the following:
w Spaying or neutering is required by five months of age. If cat is not spayed or neutered prior to adoption, proof of surgery must be mailed to Wee Paws Animal Sanctuary within 30 days of the procedure.
w If the cat must be relinquished for any reason by the prospective caregiver, s/he MUST NOT turn the cat over to a humane society, shelter or person, but must return the cat to Wee Paws Animal Sanctuary. If the phone number and/or address for Wee Paws Animal Sanctuary is no longer operative, the caregiver will nevertheless make a good faith effort to locate and contact us by checking the Internet, phone directory, etc.
w If the cat requires medical care the prospective caregiver cannot afford, or if the cat develops a chronic condition which the prospective caregiver feels unable to manage, the prospective caregiver will contact Wee Paws Animal Sanctuary to discuss the situation. Whenever possible, Wee Paws Animal Sanctuary will attempt to provide the necessary funds and/or care the cat requires (contingent upon veterinary recommendations regarding the cat's quality of life).
w Our hope is simply for the cat to enjoy a wonderful life, and for the prospective caregiver to adopt a wonderful companion. If problems arise or you need help, please just call us. We love all the cats we raise and foster, and want them to be happy and safe.

w I understand that failure to perform the foregoing agreement will constitute a breach of contract. In the event of any such breach of contract, I authorize Wee Paws Animal Sanctuary to reclaim possession of the adopted cat. In return for the above conditions, Wee Paws Animal Sanctuary agrees to allow the prospective caregiver to adopt the above mentioned cat.
