Animal Planet purchases Petfinder.com
It was announced today that Animal Planet and Discovery Communications have purchased Petfinder.com. I assume that will mean only good changes for Petfinder, which can remain a valuable resource while having more funds available for advertising. The current Petfinder staff will remain at their jobs, and I’m sure they’re excited at this new ability to reach so many potential adoptive families. Congratulations, Petfinder!
About
Wee Paws Animal Sanctuary is a small pet retirement home located in Las Vegas, Nevada. We care for a limited number of sick and/or elderly pets who would otherwise face an uncertain future at the city shelter. Our pets come to us by referral, often from local vets’ offices or via word of mouth. All pets are cared for in our home, where they’re treated as part of our family. They receive high-quality food, veterinary care, and lots of love and attention. In addition to elderly animals, we also foster orphaned young, especially kittens. They come to us for bottle-feeding and socialization, and are then placed in good homes when they’re old enough. Please check our Petfinder listing for more information about our adoptable animals.
